Dr. Ruidi Shang

Biography

Ruidi is a tenured Associate Professor in Accountancy at the Tilburg School of Economics and Management. His research examines how formal and informal management control systems affect organizational decision-making, managerial employee behavior, and firm outcomes. He has published work in top-tier journals such as the Accounting Review, Management Science, and Contemporary Accounting Research and has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and Harvard Law School Forum. Ruidi holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Melbourne and has held visiting scholar positions at Harvard Business School. He is committed to connecting rigorous research with real-world business challenges. Ruidi actively collaborates with scholars and institutions around the world, including Harvard Business School and the University of Melbourne, on projects examining management controls, corporate cultures, corporate governance, and business ethics. He is also involved in developing business cases for managerial accounting in collaboration with Harvard Business School colleagues. Ruidi teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in managerial accounting at Tilburg University, focusing on real-world business cases and enhancing students' analytical skills.
