Dr. Rula Ali

Biography

Rula Ali is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Medicine at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and a practicing General Practitioner (GP) specialist based in Sydney. She serves as a co-convener for the Society of Health and supervises general practice registrars. Previously, she was the director of the Practice Experience Program for New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, where she demonstrated leadership skills and a strong vision for training highly skilled general practitioners. As the National Clinical Lead for Evaluation and Quality Assurance at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), she is also a company secretary for GP Synergy. Rula is committed to facilitating innovative models for the delivery of medical education. Her research interests encompass general practice, project management, and governance in medical education. She is actively involved in various professional roles, including engagements with the Australian General Practice Training Program and the Central Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network.
