Biography

Rumyana Smilevska is a Clinical Research Fellow in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics at the University of Oxford. She is a Coordinator for Anatomy Teaching, focusing on Clinical Anatomy for both undergraduate and graduate students. Rumyana plays an active role in the Medical Sciences Board Course Committees, organizing and teaching courses in medical and surgical anatomy, particularly in relation to the Oxford Transplant Centre. She provides bedside teaching in hepato-pancreato-biliary transplant surgery to fifth and sixth-year medical students. Rumyana completed her BMBS at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain, and is a Fellow of the European Board of Surgery. She also holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Surgical Research. Her recent publications include contributions to the Anatomical Society's Winter meeting and a journal article in the Journal of Anatomy.
