Dr. Ruolin Li

Biography

Ruolin Li is a Gabilan Assistant Professor in the Sonny Astani Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Southern California. His research interests include designing and controlling future mobility systems, with a specific focus on automated agents and autonomous vehicles. His work lies at the intersection of human behavior modeling, multi-agent systems, and control optimization, aiming to enhance the societal benefits of intelligent transportation systems. Ruolin has previously served as a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University. He earned both his PhD and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2023 and 2018, respectively. Ruolin has been recognized as a Rising Star in Civil and Environmental Engineering by MIT in 2021 and in Mechanical Engineering by Stanford in 2022.
