Dr. Russell West Pavlov

Biography

Russell West-Pavlov is a Professor of Anglophone Literatures at the University Tübingen, focusing on the intersections between literature and cultural studies, particularly in the context of the Global South. He has been instrumental in establishing a network of partner universities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, supported by BMBF/DAAD funding. Prof. West-Pavlov's work emphasizes decolonizing literary studies, aiming to broaden the scope of modern and contemporary literary culture beyond Euro-American perspectives. His research interests include Anglophone literary cultures, globalization, and the politics of representation in literature. He is actively involved in developing pedagogical frameworks that address the complexities of literary studies in a globalized context.
