Biography

Russ Young regularly advises multinational companies on transfer pricing and international tax issues, representing taxpayers in the transactional planning stages and appellate litigation. He has significant experience addressing complex economic analyses that impact life sciences companies. Russ served as Chair of Baker McKenzie’s Chicago Tax group from 2015 to 2019. He helps clients balance transfer pricing compliance with legal issues and is highly knowledgeable in aspects of tax controversy, advising companies on assessing tax risks related to IRS audits. Additionally, Russ assists corporate clients in resolving issues at the IRS Examination Appeals level and has represented taxpayers in litigation cases before the Tax Court, Courts of Appeals, and the Supreme Court.
