Dr. Ruth Cislowski

Biography

Ruth Cislowski has had an accomplished career developing and managing nonprofit social service programs, with over 30 years dedicated to providing services and advocating for vulnerable populations. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bulgaria, where she taught English and developed curricula and instructional materials for her students. Cislowski holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California, a Master of Arts (MA) from Hebrew Union College, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) from Miami University. Her areas of expertise include Social Work, Social Work Education, Grant Writing, Community Outreach, Program Development, and Voter Registration/Voter Mobilization. Cislowski has experience in Government Relations, Events Services, Health and Wellness, Education, Learning, Training Development, and Fund-Raising within Non-Profit/Charitable organizations. She is affiliated with the Online Learning Consortium, the Council on Social Work Education, the National Association of Social Workers, and the Network for Social Work Management. Notable accomplishments include being named Woman of the Year for California's 29th Congressional District in 2022 and receiving the West Hollywood Women Leadership Award in 2018.
