Dr. Ruth Guyer

Biography

Ruth Levy Guyer is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Brown University, where she also serves as the Co-Director of the Arts Ethics Palliative Care Hospice Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program. With a notable emphasis on teaching, she has conducted courses in medical ethics, bioethics, and environmental ethics at institutions such as Haverford College and Johns Hopkins University, where she taught a graduate writing program. Holding a Ph.D. in Immunology, her research interests focus on medical ethics, social justice, narrative medicine, public health, and community action.
