Biography

Ruth Lathi graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and earned her M.D. degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine and underwent subspecialty fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Stanford University. Dr. Lathi has been part of the Stanford faculty since 2003, currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and as the Director of the Multi-specialty Recurrent Pregnancy Loss program. Her clinical focus includes fertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, miscarriage, preimplantation genetic diagnosis, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Lathi has conducted extensive research on the genetic and environmental factors contributing to miscarriage and has received NIH funding for studies related to frozen embryo transfers and their outcomes. She is committed to mentoring medical students and residents and has held numerous leadership roles in professional organizations related to reproductive medicine.
