Biography

Ruud Pellikaan obtained his MSc in Mathematics from the University of Amsterdam and completed his Ph.D. degree in 1985 at the University of Utrecht. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher until 1987 at the Free University of Amsterdam. In 1987, he became an assistant professor at Eindhoven University of Technology, specifically in the Discrete Mathematics Group. Pellikaan's main scientific contributions lie in singularity theory and algebraic geometry codes. He has published 30 research papers, 20 papers in conference proceedings, and 10 chapters in books. He has supervised six students who successfully obtained their Ph.D.
