Biography

Ryan Broderick, MD, is a board-certified surgeon specializing in minimally invasive surgery for treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), hiatal hernias, and obesity. He is an associate professor in the Department of Surgery at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where he trains medical students, residents, and fellows. Dr. Broderick completed his fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery at UC San Diego, where he also served as the administrative chief resident during his residency. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Broderick has authored book chapters and published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Foregut Society.
