Dr. Ryan Coller

Biography

Ryan Coller is an Associate Professor and Division Chief in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a pediatric hospitalist with a focus on providing complex care and innovating the support systems for healthcare delivered at home for families with children suffering from chronic illnesses. He has a distinguished career as a physician-scientist, serving as the principal investigator for research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other agencies. His research primarily involves using mixed-methods designs to test interventions aimed at improving family-centered outcomes for children with medical complexity and preventing hospitalizations. He also holds the position of research director for the Pediatric Complex Care Program and is a co-principal investigator and director of primary data for the Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs National Research Network. Coller's commitment to mentoring has been a significant part of his career, having provided guidance to trainees and faculty alike, including participation in the Academic Pediatric Association’s Quality Safety Improvement Scholars Program.
