Dr. Ryan Jablonski

Biography

Ryan Jablonski is an Associate Professor in the Department of Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He joined the department in 2013, having previously served as an Assistant Professor of Political Science. Jablonski's research focuses on critical areas of political science, including foreign aid, international development, and international political economy. His work often highlights issues in regions such as Malawi and Kenya, and he investigates themes related to elections, public spending, democratization, and maritime piracy. Jablonski is committed to high-quality teaching, offering courses such as GV101: Introduction to Political Science and GV315: Voting and Elections in Developing Democracies. He earned both his Ph.D. and M.A. in political science from the University of California, San Diego. Jablonski continues to contribute to his field through research and education, impacting students and the broader academic community.
