Biography

Ryan S. Kingsbury is an Assistant Professor at the Princeton Materials Institute, specializing in the fields of civil and environmental engineering. He completed his Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences and Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019, where he also earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences and Engineering in 2010. Alongside, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Plan II Liberal Arts from the University of Texas at Austin from 2007. His research focuses on the thermodynamics, kinetics, sorption, and transport phenomena in engineered ion separation materials, including ion exchange resins, membranes, and electrodes. He is also dedicated to advancing electrochemical technologies for clean water and clean energy production, as well as accelerated materials discovery through integrated computational and experimental methods.
