Biography

Ryan Mitchell is a plastic reconstructive surgeon with board certifications in plastic surgery from both Canada and the United States. After completing his initial training in plastic reconstructive surgery at the University of Manitoba in 2013, he pursued a prestigious fellowship in body contouring at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2014. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Mitchell began his career in aesthetic private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before returning to Winnipeg to provide complex contour corrections for patients who have undergone significant weight loss. He is currently the site head of plastic surgery at St. Boniface Hospital and has expertise in body contouring procedures. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Mitchell served as the research director for plastic surgery at the University of Manitoba and co-chaired the Annual Department of Surgery Research Symposium from 2018 to 2019.
