Dr. Ryan Padrez

Biography

Ryan Christopher Padrez is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University, specializing in General Pediatrics. His clinical practices are primarily based at the Gardner Packard Children's Health Center and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. In addition to his work at Stanford, Ryan serves as the Medical Director of a Primary School, which implements a new integrated health education model aimed at serving low-income children and families in East Palo Alto, California. His professional focus lies at the intersection of reform in primary pediatric care and early childhood education, where he actively works to integrate systems that promote effective models of high-quality and accessible care for children. Ryan graduated with a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University and earned his MD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He completed his pediatric residency at UCSF and participated in UCSF's Pediatric Leadership for the Underserved (PLUS) program, eventually serving as chief resident at San Francisco General Hospital Trauma Center. He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
