Dr. Ryan Pate

Biography

Ryan Pate is a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in both general and geriatric psychiatry. He completed his general adult psychiatry training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and pursued a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Stanford Health Care. In addition to his psychiatry training, he actively participates in the psychoanalytical psychotherapy fellowship offered by the Palo Alto division of the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis. Dr. Pate's research interests primarily focus on providing support to caregivers and developing group interventions tailored for older adults dealing with mental health disorders. In his professional practice at Stanford, he primarily conducts outpatient appointments that involve a combination of medication management and psychotherapy interventions. Dr. Pate is also dedicated to medical education, ensuring that the next generation of psychiatrists is well-trained.
