Ryan Walker studied automotive engineering at the University of Leeds, graduating in 2007. After spending a brief period as a freelance motorsport engineer, he worked with teams in various racing series including Formula 4, Formula 3, the World Endurance Championship, and British Touring Cars. He returned to academia to pursue a PhD in aeronautical engineering, which he completed in 2013 at Cranfield University, where he focused on rotordynamic faults and condition monitoring related to Rolls Royce.
