Biography

Ryoichi Ishihara is an Associate Professor at the Delft University of Technology's Quantum Integration Technology group within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. He has previously served as a visiting professor at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and as a specially appointed associate professor at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Ishihara received his PhD in Physical Electronics from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1996. Since joining TU Delft in 2014, he has spearheaded new activities in large area electronics utilizing thin-film transistors (TFTs). His research focuses on the integration of interface electronics for silicon spin qubits, particularly in monolithic integration and advanced packaging technologies aimed at developing scalable quantum computers. He continues his research into printed silicon on flexible, bio-degradable, and recyclable substrates.
