Biography

Saba Rouhani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the NYU School of Global Public Health. Her research focuses on social epidemiology, policy evaluation, and overdose prevention. Prior to joining NYU, Dr. Rouhani was a research faculty member at the Department of Health, Behavior and Society at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed a fellowship funded by the National Institutes of Health/National Institute on Drug Abuse. Her research has been published in reputable journals such as the International Journal of Drug Policy, Drug and Alcohol Dependence, the Journal of Urban Health, and the American Journal of Public Health. Dr. Rouhani earned her PhD in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She also holds an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BSc in Medical Microbiology from the University of Edinburgh.
