Molecular biologist with over 15 years of experience in basic research and cancer vaccine development. I have studied multiple viral cellular proteins employing a wide variety of biochemical and cellular biology methods, establishing functional assays. Currently, my focus is on breast cancer and melanoma, where I use a variety of mouse models to identify factors that promote tumorigenesis and metastasis, with the hope of finding future targets for cancer therapy. Additionally, I serve as a lab manager in the Yan lab and enjoy helping lab members with questions regarding experiments. Outside of science, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, Josie (our Vizsla) and Naiah (our Chesapeake Bay Retriever), as well as hiking, gardening, reading, cooking, and maintaining our family farm.
