Dr. Sabrina Browning

Biography

Sabrina Browning received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where she developed a passion for caring for individuals with hematologic diseases. She completed her internship and residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Browning served as an Amyloid Fellow at the internationally recognized Amyloidosis Center at Boston University School of Medicine and Boston Medical Center, where she played a key role in the multidisciplinary care coordination for patients with AL amyloidosis-related diseases. She returned to Yale New Haven Hospital to complete her fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology. As a faculty member in the Hematology section of the Yale School of Medicine, she became the sole awardee of the Bernard Forget Scholarship for 2020-2021, which supports individuals transitioning into an academic career in Hematology. Dr. Browning is involved in patient care for those with several hematologic disorders, including multiple myeloma and AL amyloidosis. Her clinical research interests lie in evaluating new treatments for these conditions and studying the association of metabolic syndrome with the development of monoclonal gammopathy. She also serves as Principal Investigator for clinical trials at Yale and is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Hematology and the International Myeloma Society. Dr. Browning is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and dedicated to teaching trainees at all levels of medical training.
