Dr. Sabrina Butteris

Biography

Sabrina Butteris is a Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, where she serves as the Division Chief of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics. She has a professional focus on developing partnerships that bridge health systems and K-12 school environments, addressing challenges that impact the health of children. Dr. Butteris has been involved in global health initiatives, including co-founding and leading a global health learning community within the Association of Pediatric Program Directors. She has chaired the global health task force for the American Board of Pediatrics, and participated in the education committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics' global health section. Dr. Butteris has worked on curriculum development for education both in the U.S. and abroad, creating free educational products such as SUGAR PREP, aimed at preparing medical providers to work in resource-limited settings. Her clinical interests lie in global pediatrics, where she serves as a pediatric hospitalist.
