Biography

Sadegh Dabiri received his Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Irvine. He then worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology followed by a position as a Research Faculty at the University of Notre Dame before joining Purdue University as an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering. His research focuses on computational fluid dynamics, particularly in the field of multiphase flows including turbulent bubbly flow, cavitation bubble dynamics, and heat transfer. He has received several accolades for his work, including the AIAA Martin Summerfield Graduate Award in 2008 and the Dean's Dissertation Award in 2009. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the American Physical Society, and his research interests also involve modeling applications in fluid power systems and solid particle transport in fluids.
