Currently pursuing a PhD at Aarhus University, focused on the research project titled ‘Intergenerational Migration Strategy, Remittances Investment Transnational Education Migration Nepal.’ This project explores the dynamics of education-related migration against the backdrop of increasing commercialization and internationalization of education in Nepal. Prior to starting the PhD, Sadikshya worked as a migration researcher for six years at the Centre for Study of Labour Mobility (CESLAM), Social Science Baha, Nepal, addressing migration-related issues primarily from Nepal and South Asia. Holding a master’s degree from the University of Copenhagen, she conducted an independent study on rural livelihoods and environmental income in Nepal for her thesis. Her research interests have evolved to focus on labor and student migration, reviewing policies, developing research instruments, and engaging in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis. She has authored and published several reports and academic papers and has contributed to the preparation of technical and financial proposals for various migration-related projects. Her research methodologies include conducting semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and life history interviews involving diverse groups of migrant workers, as well as collaborations with national and international organizations.
