Biography

Sai Qian Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at New York University Tandon School of Engineering and the Department of Computer Science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. He earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 2021 and holds both M.A.Sc. and B.A.Sc. degrees from the University of Toronto. Prior to joining NYU, he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Meta Reality Labs during 2022-2024. Dr. Zhang's research interests encompass efficient AI algorithms, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) computing, and the design of neural network accelerators.
