Biography

Saima Nasar is a senior lecturer at the University of Bristol, specializing in social and cultural history with a focus on race, empire, and immigration. She has been actively involved in teaching a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including modules on 'American Century', 'Global History', 'Decolonization', and 'Black Lives Matter', and supervises various dissertation projects in the field of colonial violence, popular culture, and activism. Nasar has held editorial board positions and is a previous co-director of the Centre for Black Humanities.
