Biography

Sait Bayrakdar is a sociologist whose research focuses on education, youth, social stratification, intersectionality, migration, and social policy. His work primarily employs quantitative methods to investigate structural inequalities and their impacts on people's lives across various domains. Sait joined the University of Warwick in July 2024 and is currently engaged with the ThirdGen project, which analyzes the socio-economic outcomes of care arrangements for the descendants of labor migrants from Turkey. He is also a co-investigator for the Young Lives Young Futures project at King’s College London, which explores young people's transitions post-16 with a particular focus on social equalities. His research interests encompass social inequalities, social mobility, stratification, migration, education, housing, and the labor market, utilizing advanced statistical techniques to uncover insights into the linkages between individual outcomes and overarching structural inequalities.
