Biography

Sajjad Moazeni is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018, where his research focused on large-scale energy-efficient electronic-photonic integration. He also earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran in 2013. Prior to joining the University of Washington, he worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at the Bioelectronic Systems Lab at Columbia University from 2018 to 2020. His research interests lie at the intersection of integrated system design and photonics applications for computing, communication, sensing, imaging, and life sciences. His specializations include system integration, emerging technologies, integrated photonics, neurophotonics, biophotonics, and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
