Biography

Salah Ali received his medical degree in 2001 from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He became a member of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in 2012. He has worked in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology Oncology in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. From 2014 to 2020, he completed fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, where he served as a clinical associate. In 2018, he obtained Board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada as part of the subspecialty affiliate program. In February 2020, Dr. Ali relocated to the United Kingdom to work as a consultant in Pediatric Hematology and BMT at Sheffield Children's Hospital. As of August 2021, he joined the Hematology Oncology team at Leeds Children's Hospital. His research interests include hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, infections, and supportive care in pediatric hematology oncology.
