Biography

Salima Sulaiman is an Assistant Professor in the Nursing program at Brock University. She holds a PhD and has a focus on Maternal Perinatal Mental Health, particularly concerning maternal, paternal, and infant outcomes. Her research interests include e-health interventions aimed at improving coparenting relationships among immigrant postnatal women. Prior to joining Brock University in 2021, Dr. Sulaiman was a faculty member at Aga Khan University School of Nursing. She teaches at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and is an active member of the Maternal-infant Global Health (MiGHT) Research Team, which explores maternal mental health issues in low and middle-income countries. Dr. Sulaiman is also involved in various professional organizations, including the College of Nurses of Ontario and Sigma Tau International Nursing Society. She is dedicated to supporting students and is available to supervise master's program candidates.
