Salley G. Pels, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Rhode Island. She serves as the Director of the Rhode Island Hemostasis Thrombosis Center. Dr. Pels earned her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed her Pediatric residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Pels’ research interests focus on quality improvement in Hemophilia care, hematologic disorders during pregnancy, and therapies for immune thrombocytopenia. She has served on the board of directors for the Thrombosis Hemostasis Society of North America and is an active member of the American Thrombosis Hemostasis Network.
