Professor Dr. Sam Palermo

Biography

Sam Palermo is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University, where he also holds the J.W. Runyon Jr. Professorship. With a Ph.D. from Stanford University, he specializes in analog mixed-signal circuits and has significant expertise in high-speed electrical optical interconnect circuit design methodologies. Dr. Palermo's research focuses on design modeling for clock generation and recovery circuits, including Phase-Locked Loops (PLLs), Delay-Locked Loops (DLLs), and Clock Data Recovery circuits (CDRs). His work addresses the challenges posed by increasing variability in analog circuits, utilizing digital assistance to enhance performance.
