Biography

Sam Rowan joined the Department of Political Science at Concordia University in fall 2020. His research focuses on global environmental politics and international cooperation, particularly institutionalized cooperation to address climate change. He completed his D.Phil. in International Relations from the University of Oxford. He also holds an M.Phil. in International Relations from the University of Oxford and a B.A. (Honours) in Political Science from the University of British Columbia. Before joining Concordia, he was a postdoctoral researcher in international climate policy at Climate Econometrics, connected to Nuffield College, University of Oxford. His teaching activities include courses on Climate Politics and Quantitative Research Methods, among others. Sam has published extensively on topics such as climate policy and international organizations.
