Biography

Dr. Samantha Truong earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital - Massachusetts General Hospital Combined Residency Program. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston Medical Center, where she provides care at the Refugee Women’s Health Clinic at NeighborHealth, a Federally Qualified Health Center in East Boston. Dr. Truong is an approved bilingual provider and has extensive experience working on issues related to global health equity, respectful maternity care, and reproductive justice. She was awarded the Doris Duke International Clinical Research Fellowship in 2018, focusing on research capacity-building initiatives in Chiapas, Mexico. Dr. Truong is a member of Physicians for Human Rights and conducts asylum evaluations for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. She is committed to serving marginalized populations.
