Biography

Samantha Wilson is an Assistant Professor at the Fountain School of Performing Arts at Dalhousie University. With over 20 years of experience in theatre and film, she has directed and taught at various notable institutions including Sheridan College, Mount Allison University, and Dalhousie University. Wilson has held leadership roles such as the Crake Fellow in Drama at Mount Allison University from 2016 to 2018 and was the Director of Neptune Theatre's Professional Touring Company, as well as heading their Professional Training Program in Acting from 2005 to 2010. She co-founded DMV Theatre, a Halifax-based company, in 2007. Her acting and directing credits span numerous prestigious festivals and productions, demonstrating her extensive involvement in both national and international theatre. Furthermore, Wilson is a member of ACTRA and has served as a board member for Theatre Nova Scotia, currently sitting on the jury for the Nova Scotia Talent Trust. Her teaching includes courses such as Acting 3800 and 1800.
