Sami Muhaidat received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, in 2006. He was an NSERC postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada, from 2007 to 2008. His research focuses on communication theory with particular emphasis on the physical layer aspects of wireless communication networks and on machine learning applications in the field of wireless networks. Dr. Muhaidat has made significant contributions to low power wireless networks, cognitive radio networks, MIMO, cooperative communication networks, and optical communications.
