Biography

Samir Gautam, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, specializing in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. He earned his MD and PhD from Yale School of Medicine, focusing on Cell Biology. Dr. Gautam has completed his clinical fellowship and residency in Internal Medicine at the same institution. His research interests primarily encompass the pathophysiology of respiratory diseases, including conditions like asthma and chronic lung disease, addressing the underlying inflammation and airway narrowing that impacts patient quality of life. Dr. Gautam has made significant contributions to the field with numerous publications in reputable journals.
