Biography

Samira Nazar is a lecturer at the Australian National University’s Research School of Management, focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation. Her research investigates how marginalized entrepreneurs thrive in fragile contexts, such as those affected by war, where entrepreneurial ecosystems tend to be fragmented and non-inclusive. She completed her PhD at the University of Queensland Business School, concentrating on women's entrepreneurship in Afghanistan. Prior to her doctoral studies, Samira earned a master’s degree in Business with a focus on Sustainability and Social Impact, and a graduate diploma in Technology Innovation Management from the University of Queensland. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Business Consultancy from the University of Applied Sciences in Wiener Neustadt, Austria. Over the years, Samira has been involved in entrepreneurship, management, innovation, and strategy through various teaching, research, and engagement projects.
