Dr. Samuel Cahill

Biography

Samuel Cahill is a Lecturer in Chemistry Education at the Department of Chemistry at King’s College London. He graduated with an MSci in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in 2013, where he completed his DPhil in Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Christopher Schofield at the University of Oxford. Over time, Samuel developed a keen interest in teaching and education, particularly in creating accessible methods for understanding physical chemistry. He has contributed to the development of innovative undergraduate teaching modules and practical chemistry courses at the University of Oxford and King’s College London. His research interests include Antibiotic Resistance, Chemistry Education, and the use of coding in chemistry to foster transferable skills among students. He is committed to enhancing the learning experience in chemistry through the integration of practical skills and theoretical knowledge.
