Professor Dr. Samuel Frimpong

Biography

Samuel Frimpong is an Associate Lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) in the School of Built Environment. He has a solid academic background with a PhD in Built Environment and advanced degrees in Construction Management and Building Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. Samuel joined UNSW in 2022, transitioning from industry roles in construction management and quantity surveying, where he has over thirteen years of experience. His work in the construction sector involved collaboration with government and non-profit organizations focusing on youth well-being and skills development. Samuel's research interests encompass Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Construction Health and Safety, and Sustainable Development. He aims to communicate the importance of scientific research to younger audiences to inspire careers in STEAM fields. His contributions have been recognized through various awards for social impact and digital innovation in the construction industry.
