Biography

Samuel Kortum is currently the James Burrows Moffatt Professor of Economics and Chair of the Department of Economics at Yale University. He has held this prestigious position since joining Yale in 2012, having previously served on the faculty at Boston University, the University of Minnesota, and the University of Chicago. Kortum is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
