Dr. Samuel Paskewitz

Biography

Samuel Paskewitz is a lecturer with a PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder, graduated in 2021. His background is in cognitive psychology, with a focus on computational models related to decision-making. He has coupled his psychological training with mathematical statistics to inform his research. Samuel's current research interests include applying Bayesian latent variable models to neurocognitive psychopathology data, developing computational models for Pavlovian conditioning extinction, and using computational models to understand the relationship between selective attention and threat cues in anxiety-related psychopathology. In his current role, he teaches graduate-level statistics and provides statistical advice within his department. Samuel is open to discussions about data and is approachable for those interested in collaborating or seeking statistical guidance.
