Biography

Dr. Samuel Siu is a Professor of Medicine and a Cardiologist at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University. He received his MD from the University of Alberta and completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Cardiac Ultrasound at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and Harvard Teaching Hospitals. He also holds master’s degrees from the Harvard School of Public Health and the Richard Ivey School of Business. Dr. Siu has held leadership positions at the University of Toronto and Western University. His current research interests focus on maternal cardiac health, cardiac imaging, adult congenital heart disease, knowledge translation, and program development. He is recognized for his contributions to the field and has been the recipient of various awards including the 2014 Department of Medicine Senior Researcher Award and the 2015 Schulich Dean's Award for Research. Additionally, Dr. Siu was elected valedictorian of his graduating class in the Ivey Executive MBA program in 2014.
