Biography

S. Sandeep Pradhan obtained his M.E. degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IIS), India in 1996 and his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in 2001. He began his academic career as an assistant professor in 2002 at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, subsequently becoming an associate professor in 2008 and a full professor in 2015 in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His research has significantly contributed to the fields of systems, signal processing, and communications control. He has been awarded the Eliahu Jury award by the University of California at Berkeley in 2001 for his outstanding research, a CAREER award from the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the Outstanding Achievement Award from the University of Michigan in 2009. Additionally, he received the John F. Ullrich Education Excellence Award from the College of Engineering in 2020, and he is a fellow of the IEEE, recognized for his contributions to electrical engineering education and practice.
