Biography

Sander Stuijk is an Associate Professor in the Electrical Engineering department at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). His research focuses on design trajectories for predictable embedded signal processing applications, which are used in high-tech systems within industrial manufacturing, automotive, and health care monitoring sectors. His goal is to develop high-level compilation strategies that transform applications into efficient, predictable code that can be executed on modern heterogeneous multi-core platforms. These platforms consist of general-purpose multi-core CPUs, SIMD, VLIW, and GPU extensions. Sander is a board member of the 4TU.NIRICT research institute, which aims to enhance collaboration and education among Dutch universities. Additionally, he is a founding member of ICT Generation, a network dedicated to assistant and associate professors in research and education across the Netherlands. He serves as the departmental coordinator for the Embedded Systems master’s degree program and has supervised numerous students at the BSc, MSc, PhD, and PDEng levels.
