Sandie Byrne is a Professor at the University of Oxford, specializing in English literature. Her research interests include poetic form and post-Second World War poetry, with a particular focus on the works of Jane Austen and English elegy. She has contributed significantly to various scholarly publications, including 'Soundscapes' in the Cambridge History of World War Poetry and several edited volumes on poetry and literature. Byrne has held the position of Director of Studies in English at Kellogg College, part of the Oxford University Department for Continuing Education.
