Biography

Dr. Sandra Gomez-Luna is triple board certified in Adult, Child/Adolescent, and Addiction Psychiatry. She graduated from Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena with a medical degree in 1986 and completed her residency in general psychiatry at New York Medical College, St. Vincent's Medical Center in New York. Dr. Gomez-Luna went on to complete a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she served as Chief Fellow. She also completed a fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Gomez-Luna has been recognized as a distinguished fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. She provides psychiatric evaluations and therapeutic psychopharmacological interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric co-occurring conditions. In addition, she is a member of the editorial board of the Carlat Report on Addiction Treatment and serves on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
