Dr. Sandra Lavenex

Biography

Sandra Lavenex is a professor at the University of Geneva in the Global Studies Institute, where she also serves as the director of the Master's program in European Studies. She holds a PhD from the European University Institute in Florence and has previously taught at the University of Lucerne, the University of Bern, and the College of Europe. Her academic focus is on international relations and European policies, with extensive experience in governance, European integration, migration policies, and democracy beyond states. In June 2016, she became the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (SdS).
