Dr. Sandra Musial

Biography

Sandra J. Musial, MD, FAAP, is a pediatrician at Hasbro Children’s Hospital and is board-certified in pediatrics and obesity medicine. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and completed her residency training at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where she served as chief resident. With over 13 years of experience in private pediatric practice, she became an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Musial co-founded the HEALTH clinic (Healthy Eating Active Living Hasbro) and her clinical interests encompass nutrition medicine, breastfeeding, and pediatric obesity. She initiated the Hasbro Rainbow Vegetable Garden project to educate and inspire families about healthy eating. Her research interests focus on healthy infant feeding practices and dietary approaches to disease reversal. Additionally, she is a co-founder and co-chair of the Physicians Committee for Breastfeeding in Rhode Island and is an active member of the Rhode Island Medical Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
